This site uses lightweight, self-hosted analytics to understand whether it is useful.

What is collected

Page views, approximate visitor counts, referring sites, browser and operating-system categories, screen size, language, and approximate country are collected in aggregate. Country is inferred from the network address and is not a precise location.

GoatCounter temporarily uses the network address and browser user-agent in memory to distinguish repeated visits. Raw IP addresses, full user-agent strings, tracking cookies, tracking data in local storage, and persistent tracking identifiers are not stored in the analytics database. The temporary session mapping expires after up to eight hours.

What is not used

This site does not use advertising trackers, cross-site profiling, fingerprinting, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or analytics cookies. Analytics requests are sent to infrastructure operated for this site through the first-party /count endpoint. The reliability notes are static documentation only: they do not add monitoring, status polling, or a new analytics category.

Your choices

You can disable GoatCounter in this browser by opening this site with #toggle-goatcounter in the URL. The preference is stored only in this browser's local storage; it is not sent to the server and is not used to identify you.

You can also block JavaScript or analytics requests using your browser or content-blocking tools. The site remains usable without analytics.
